carrie@redhairedgirl.com BioThe first thing you should understand, if you're joining me here, is that this is not my primary form of web writing. See that link up there, the one that says Earthmovers and Sandcastles? That's my journal, where I've been writing since 1999. Everything you've ever wanted to know about me can be found there (100 things, for a start, though that's hardly a beginning)...with the exception of the occasional personal vent. Tried that once or twice, and I ended up with an inbox full of unwanted advice, hate mail for my husband, and piles of misunderstandings. I don't write so that people who hardly know me can pass judgment on things I hold dear to my heart - well, at least not so they'll bombard me with that judgment.
I had a passworded section of my site, but Movable Type horked and massacred it, and I'm too busy to try to figure out why. Livejournal's okay for my purposes, anyway. If you friend me here, though, know that this won't be the whole story, but will be mostly the other side of things, the not-so-public-friendly side. Please understand, too, that I do like to know a little bit about who you are before I friend you. Anybody can claim to be anybody here on "teh Intarweb," I realize, but just humor me.
For those not really interested in friending me but who want to know who that chick was who just commented somplace else, I'm a SAHM to my two boys, Samuel (6/17/01; birth story here) and Gabriel (10/19/04; birth story here). We nurse, we homebirth, we co-sleep, we don't hit or spank, we eat meat, we drink soda, we boycott Nestle, we watch television, we try to do most things in moderation after careful research and lots of discussion.
